COVID Visitor Information

COVID-19 information for our aged care facilities

July 12, 2021

Dear Residents and Relatives,

COVID-19 – UPDATE
While the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rapidly evolve we are monitoring the situation closely and
our focus continues to be on the safety and well-being of our residents and staff. At this time, strict
visiting restrictions remain in place.

MANDATORY SERVICE NSW QR APP CODE CHECK IN
Commencing 12th July 2021, all staff, contractors and visitors to residential aged care facilities will
be required to check in using the Service NSW QR Code App.

All visitors will still need to pass a health screen prior to entering the facility and register via our
Visitor Kiosk.

RESIDENT WELL-BEING
We understand that the visitor restrictions and uncertainty created by COVID-19 are difficult for our
residents and families. Our Leisure and Lifestyle teams continue to ensure everyone can remain
connected through phone and video calls. Our Lifestyle programs are continuing with safe social
distancing practices in place.

COVID-19 VACCINATION MANDATE FOR RESIDENTIAL AGED CARE WORKERS
Christadelphian Aged Care fully supports the Government’s recent decision to mandate COVID-19
vaccinations for residential aged care employees. From 17th September 2021, it will be a requirement
for all employees to have had at least the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

We are encouraging and supporting our staff to have this vaccination. We are currently working with
NSW Health and have vaccination clinics organised for our facilities. We have already commenced the
staff vaccination program, with Northcourt staff vaccinated last week and Casa Mia and Southhaven
to be vaccinated this week.

The current outbreak highlights to us all that COVID-19 remains a threat within our community and
that vaccination is essential.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in keeping everyone safe during these
challenging times.

Kind regards,

Bruce Thornthwaite
Chief Clinical Officer
