Northcourt Aged Care will be transformed into a modern and stylish boutique Home after renovations are completed next year.

Management and staff cut a ribbon on Monday to mark the beginning of the refurbishment at North Parramatta that will create an environment that reflects the comforts of home.

The first stage will focus on upgrading the hallways and rooms to make them more modern and comfortable for residents, including new flooring and fresh paint.

The lounge and dining space will also be redesigned to encourage more residents outside, with a covered outdoor space and a large deck planned for the area.

New nursing and security systems will be implemented to create a safe and modern environment for residents and staff.

The refurbishment was about using creative design to help residents feel at home, and encourage a positive workplace for staff, Facility Manager Wannapa Foytong said.

“It’s going to be lovely home for our residents and an inspiring place to work for our staff,” she said.

“People will be able to sit outside and maintain their connection with the community and the environment.”

Christadelphian Aged Care purchased Northcourt in May this year, along with Courtlands Village nearby and Westcourt in Westmead.

The project will be completed in stages and is expected to take six months.
