Respite Care

Respite care at Christadelphian Aged Care

On occasions those who look after elderly family or friends at home may need a short break. This might be to allow some recreation or travel, or perhaps the opportunity to attend to another responsibility.

Elderly people who have been hospitalised for surgery or to treat an illness also may need short term support in their recovery or convalescence.

Respite Care can be an ideal solution to these situations, and may be available for up to 63 days in a financial year. Respite accommodation beyond this period requires further ACAT approval.

Entry into Respite Care facility requires documented approval from an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT).

We can care for your relative or friend for a short time which gives them an opportunity to mix with others, and experience our Homes and our excellent standard of care.

Respite Care is available at most of our Homes. Bookings are essential as respite places are in high demand. Emergency short term accommodation is offered depending on availability.
